Screening of Kidney Disease in Asymptomatic Female College Students by Urine Dipstick Method

Introduction Urine examination by urine dipstick method is a useful tool to identify asymptomatic individual for kidney disease. A analysis was conducted on world day determine the abnormalities among female college students.
 MethodsA cross-sectional study carried out in government Kathmandu Nepal. Three hundred students participated this study. Fresh midstream samples were obtained and tested method. Random Blood glucose monitored with glucometer. pressure measured manual sphynomanometer.
 ResultsThe mean age of 22.62±2.686 years. Fifteen participants (5%) found positive proteinuria only 1% had glycosuria. The systolic blood >120 mm Hg present 14% while 5% diastolic >90mm Hg. Participants who have urinary detected both increased. Only 8% random sugar >140 mg/dl.
 ConclusionUrinary like glycosuria has significant prevalence. Systemic prehypertension hypertension alarming rates adolescents. Hence, screening early detection renal disorders will lead effective interventions possibly reduce burden diseases.
